Mrs. Dixie L. Grimes, an 85-year-old former Trenton resident who was residing with her granddaughter, Chelsea Sprague in Cameron, died at 8:04 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the residence.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m.., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Trenton. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.
Mrs. Grimes was born November 10, 1936 in Trenton, the youngest daughter of ten, to Tom and Dora Claycomb Taul.
She was married to Billy Grimes on December 14, 1962.
Her survivors include four daughters, Edith Darlene Hutchison and husband, Charles of Trenton, Parthelia Bonnett and husband, Marty of Gladstone, Sue Grimes of Las Vegas, NV and Alicia Grimes of Cameron; two sons, William Grimes III and wife, Tabytha of Trenton and Brian Grimes and wife, Laura of Braymer; one daughter-in-law, Tonya Collins of Spickard; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Brad Collins; one daughter, Paula Grimes;, two step-daughters, Minnie Grimes and Billie Jean Grimes; and two granddaughters, Shayna Hanes and Jessa Dana.
