Alexander Johnson, 89, of Liberty (formerly of Gallatin), passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at Our Lady Of Mercy Home in Liberty.
Alexander was born July 13, 1933, in Harrison County, the son of Corneilus and Ivola Harrison Johnson. He was raised around Gilman City and baptized there as a young man.
On June 4, 1955, he married Donna Jean Ray in Gilman City. She preceded him in death in April of 2006.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Charlie; and sister and brother-in-law, Robert and Ella Lee Smiley.
Alexander is survived by his daughters, Janet (Bob) Gibson of Gilman City and Lonna (John) Bissonnette of Liberty; grandchildren, Amy (Danny) Gibson of Trenton, Alyson (Joel) Messersmith of Oregon, Jack (Brooke) Bissonnette of Colorado and Victor (Catherine) Bissonnette of Liberty; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson, Henzley and Inara Lee; brother-in-law, Allan Dean (Karon) Ray of Cameron; sister-in-law, Sharon (Gene) Gibson of Gilman City; and special cousin who was like a brother, Garvin Collin of Kearney.
Alexander has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home at Bethany.
Memorial Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at a later date in Springer Cemetery at Gilman City.
