Mr. Billy G. Jackson, 87, a resident of Galt, died at 1:40 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2023 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. No services are planned at this time.
Mr. Jackson was born November 17, 1935 at Laredo, the son of Leonard Lee and Gertrude A. Gilkerson Jackson. He graduated from Galt High School. He was “a” veteran of the U.S. Army. He moved to Illinois where he worked on a horse farm, then went to work on the race track circuit. In 1964 he moved back to Galt, where he lived until 1968 and then back to work at the race tracks in California, New Jersey, Nebraska, Florida, and New York. He moved back to Galt in 1993.
His survivors include one brother, Delbert Jackson and wife Martha of Galt; and one sister, Neva Jordon of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Earl Ray Jackson.
