Barbara McLin, an 83-year-old former Trenton resident, passed away at 4:25 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Belleview Care Center in St. Joseph.
A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary. A graveside service is scheduled to follow around 11:30 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery.
Barbara Ann McLin was born September 13, 1940 in Princeton to Earl Glen and Pearl Josephine LaFever Oswalt. She graduated from Princeton High School and then worked at Kress Dime Store in Trenton.
On August 29, 1971 she was united in marriage to Bob McLin. He preceded her in death April 14, 2012.
Barbara later worked at a flower shop and as a cook at Trenton High School. She also helped Bob do yardwork around town. In her spare time, Barbara loved cooking and gardening.
Surviving relatives include her brother, Ron Oswalt and wife, Teanah of Chillicothe; a sister, Kay Cornwell of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include her parents; husband; a step-son, Steve McLin; brothers, Dean and Harold Oswalt; and sisters, Norma Oswalt, Marilyn Hickman and Elna Nolan.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
