Mrs. Dorothy L. Dryer, a 78-year-old resident of Brimson, died at 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in Willis Chapel Cemetery, north of Brimson.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Mrs. Dryer was born June 29, 1945 in Trenton, the daughter of Blane and Elizabeth Walker Dunkin. Before retiring she was employed by Sunnyview Nursing Home for 16 years, she along with husband, Larry operated a grocery store in Brimson for three years, North 65 Center and Global Instruments.
She was a member the Union (Coon Creek) Baptist Church, west of Trenton.
On December 3, 1959 she was married to Larry Dryer at Harrison, AR.
Her survivors include her husband, Larry of the home; one daughter, Glenda Gott and husband, Terry of Trenton; one son, Gary Dryer and wife, Lilly of Trenton; four grandchildren, Joshua Gott, Kevin Gott, Sarah Dryer and Johnathan Dryer; and three great-grandchildren Gabriel Rader, Harlow Ferguson and Jackson Rader.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Wanda Smith, Betty Gibler, Mary Hobbs; and five brothers, Carl Bosley, Bill Dunkin, Bob Dunkin, James Dunkin and Don Dunkin.
Memorials to Willis Chapel Cemetery may be left with the mortuary.
