Mr. Lloyde Oscar Berry, 86, a resident of Trenton, Missouri passed away at 1:45 A.M.,
Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri under the care of
Three Rivers Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 21, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary,
Trenton, Missouri. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Missouri.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the mortuary.
Memorials to Wounded Warrior Project and maybe left with mortuary.
Mr. Berry was born April 27, 1938 at Trenton the son of Earl McClurge and Doris Beatrice
Hancock Berry. He was retired employee of Trenton Foods after working there for thirty-five
years. Oscar enjoyed anything to do with racing and was always found to be at the Winston
racetrack, whether it be with his own racecar, the beautiful, orange 7H or to watch. One very
important thing in Oscar??™s life was his nieces and nephews. His nieces and nephews were the
twinkle of his eyes. Often time??™s people would always see his contagious smile and bubbly laugh
eating breakfast at Lakeview Restaurant.
Oscar was united hands with the love of his life Doyce Hughes in January 1979 at Trenton,
Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 17, 1981.
His survivors include his sister Nadine Gardner of TN; sisters-in-law Linda Berry of OK, Sharon
Berry, Chula, Missouri; nieces and nephews Randy Gardner, Bobby Fitzpatrick, Sherri Palmer,
Shawna Berry, Kevin Berry, Meletta Hines, Meleah Lawrence, Melissa Yount, Michael Hughes,
Rhonda Lumsdon, Debbie Jean Plott, Carlia Sue Armstrong; several great nieces and great
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers Robert “Bob” Berry, Dale (Sue)
Berry, Ronald Berry, Gerald (Betty) Berry, Virgil Berry; three sisters Betty (R.B.) Russell,
Mildred (Don) Shepard and Joyce Axtell.
